I have been lucky enough to work collaboratively with several local schools and community groups on a wide variety of projects and workshops, including creating murals, celebration wall hangings, printmaking projects and curating exhibitions. Learning Disability Week Exhibition
The Yume Project
I’m currently collaborating with the Yume Project to deliver a creative programme for Learning Disability Week 2025, centred around the theme "Do You See Me?". Through this project, I’m working closely with Yume clients to create artwork that highlights the importance of visibility, inclusion, and being truly valued within society.

I provide weekly workshops tailored to a diverse group of adults with varying physical, cognitive, and mental health needs. These sessions are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and empowering, encouraging each participant to express their identity, experiences, and perspective through art. We explore a range of mediums and techniques, giving participants the tools and confidence to develop their own creative voice.

The artwork produced throughout the project reflects deeply personal and thought-provoking narratives, challenging perceptions and inviting audiences to see beyond disability. The project will culminate in a public exhibition, which I will fully curate, organise, and promote.

Mighty Machines Exhibition
The Castle School
I designed and delivered the Mighty Machines printmaking project in collaboration with Castle School, which caters for children with a variety of complex learning difficulties from the ages of 4 to 19.

Focusing on the themes of identity and social inclusion, over five sessions, I introduced students to a variety of printmaking techniques, encouraging them to explore creative expression through these methods. As part of the project, we visited a local museum to study vehicles and mechanical systems, providing inspiration for their artwork.

The project culminated in a public exhibition at City Arts, a local community arts centre. The children’s work was professionally displayed, drawing attention from the local media and even a visit from the mayor.

One of the most rewarding moments was attending the private view and watching the students proudly point out their framed pieces on the gallery walls. The exhibition celebrated the outcomes of this vibrant, collaborative educational project and showcased the voices and creativity of the students through the lens of art and identity.

Coronation Wall Hanging
Mortimer Junior School
Over two days, I collaborated with every student at Mortimer Junior School to help them design and create their own unique felt square, each inspired by the Coronation. These individual pieces were then incorporated into a large-scale, three-panel wall hanging, designed as a lasting commemorative artwork for the school. Using a mixed media approach, I hand-stitched all the student contributions together, enhancing the final piece with additional embellishments.
The completed installation measures 2m x 3m and now hangs proudly on display at the school.

Collaborative School Mural
St Nics Junior School
This project aimed to transform a plain sports equipment storage container into a vibrant, long-lasting collaborative mural. I worked with a representative group of students from each class, guiding them as they created individual pages filled with imaginative designs inspired by their school experiences. Using their chosen media, the students expressed their unique perspectives, which were then thoughtfully combined into a cohesive composition and enlarged for application onto the container’s surface.

The project culminated in a whole-school mural painting day, where every student had the opportunity to contribute, bringing the collective vision to life and turning the container into a colourful celebration of school life.

Take Flight
The Castle School & Nature Discovery Centre
Take Flight is a vibrant community art installation created by Charlotte Adcock for The Castle School in partnership with The Nature Discovery Centre, now proudly on display at the Centre. Opened by the Deputy Mayor of Newbury, the project celebrates individuality, growth, and the strength of a connected school community.

Each bird, leaf, or animal in the installation represents a member of The Castle School, students, teachers, and support staff alike. Every participant was given a blank felt tile and the freedom to design a meaningful image that reflected their identity or personal journey. The bird motif symbolises freedom, creativity, and the process of growing from fledglings into confident individuals ready to "fly the nest."

The designs were hand-stitched together into a single, cohesive piece, with a central tree motif acting as the heart of the installation, a symbol of unity, shared roots, and the nurturing role of the school community. The result is a powerful visual metaphor: every individual is unique, yet essential to the whole.

This inclusive project celebrates a wide range of artistic abilities and voices, reinforcing the message that everyone has value, everyone belongs, and everyone contributes to the life of the community.

Art Shed
After School Creative Sessions at City Arts
As the Programme Manager for Children's Art at City Arts, I design and offer a number of art sessions and events, one of which is Art Shed, a vibrant after-school programme for children aged 4 to 11, designed to inspire creativity, imagination, and hands-on exploration in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Held weekly at City Arts, these Make & Take sessions offer young artists the chance to experiment with a wide range of materials and techniques, encouraging them to try something new and develop their artistic confidence.
Each week introduces a different creative activity, from painting, collage, and printmaking to sculpture, craft, and mixed media projects. Children are guided through the process, with plenty of freedom to express their own ideas and make each piece uniquely their own. Best of all, every child leaves with a finished artwork to take home and share with pride.

Art Shed is about more than just making art, it’s about nurturing curiosity, building creative skills, and giving children a space to relax, explore, and enjoy the process of making. Whether they're seasoned young creators or picking up a paintbrush for the first time, every child is welcome.
